Additional information

• Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance, normal protein synthesis and normal psychological functions. Magnesium also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
• Aquamin™ Mg magnesium hydroxide is derived naturally from the clean waters of the Irish coast. 500 000 kg of seawater are required to produce 1000 kg of high-grade magnesium hydroxide. During the process, prepared calcium oxide reacts with the magnesium in seawater to precipitate magnesium hydroxide.
• Aquamin™ Mg magnesium hydroxide dissolves well in stomach acidity (solubility is almost 90%). The magnesium oxide contained in magnesium oxide preparations must also be converted to magnesium hydroxide in the stomach before its dissolution in stomach acids can begin. Only dissolved magnesium can be absorbed, as magnesium is mainly absorbed as free ions.
