Dosage

5 tablets a day, the dose may be increased to 10 tablets a day if needed. The tablets can be swallowed whole with liquid or, if necessary, halved, chewed or ground and mixed with food. For good results, it is recommended to take 5-10 tablets daily for 4-8 weeks. For best results, 12 weeks of continuous use is recommended. The product is also suitable for continuous use.

Physiological effects

• Vivania^® Beauty Collagen contains type 1 hydrolyzed Peptan^® fish collagen 1000 mg/ tablet, which strengthens the skin’s texture and enhances skin elasticity and moisture balance.
• Collagen is a protein, a natural component of the skin and it helps the skin to preserve its firmness and elasticity. Collagen can also be found in the hair, nails and connective tissue. Approximately 75 % of young and healthy skin is made up of collagen. However, within ageing, body’s ability to produce collagen decreases, which leads to lower elasticity and vitality of the skin. Human body’s ability to regenerate and produce collagen starts to diminish at age 25.
• Peptan^® collagen absorbs easily from the small intestine where it can be digested to form of dipeptides and tripeptides or free amino acids. Through blood vessels collagen peptides are then distributed in the human body and particularly in the dermis of the skin. Once in the skin, the collagen peptides can act with a double mechanism: collagen peptides and free amino acids provide the building blocks for the formation of collagen and elastin fibres and collagen peptides stimulate the proliferation of fibroblasts and collagen synthesis.
• Vivania^® Beauty Collagen also supports joint and muscle health. 95 % of the cartilage and tendon is made of collagen. A daily supply of collagen helps to maintain healthy joints as Peptan® collagen stimulates chondrosytes to produce more aggrecan and type 2 collagen, which are the two main components of healthy joints.
