Additional information

  • Calcium is necessary for maintaining normal bones.
  • Calcium also contributes to normal muscle and nervous system function and blood clotting. Clinically tested, natural plant-based Aquam calcium carbonate is derived from the Lithothamnion calcaereum seaweed that grows in the clear waters of Iceland. The calcium is collected from the waters of south-west and north-west Iceland and only dead, calcified algae are collected, so the collection is on an ecologically sustainable basis.
  • Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption of calcium, to normal blood calcium levels and to the normal function of the immune system.
  • Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and to the maintenance of normal bones. We get vitamin K from vegetables and as a result of the action of intestinal bacteria. Vitamin K in plants is vitamin K1 or phylloquinone. Intestinal bacteria produce vitamin K2, i.e. menaquinone. Natural VitaMK7® menaquinone is produced by fermentation and no chemical substances are used in its manufacturing process.
  • Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to normal functioning of the nervous system, muscles and protein synthesis. Magnesium is also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.
  • Natural Aquamin magnesium hydroxide is produced from seawater from the Irish Sea. In addition to magnesium, it contains small amounts of 72 minerals dissolved in the sea, which work synergistically with magnesium and enhance its function.
  • Manganese contributes to the normal formation of connective tissue, to the maintenance of normal bones, to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
  • Copper contributes to maintenance of normal connective tissues, energy-yielding metabolism, nervous system, iron transport in the body, immune system and the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
  • Molybdenum contributes to normal sulphur amino acid metabolism.
