Marigold flower (Calendula officinalis) is an odorous, annual plant that grows approx. 50 cm high and, in Finland, is in flower during July to September.
Marigold has traditionally been used externally for different skin problems, such as wounds, dry skin and burns. It has also been used for skin rash, atopic eczema and skin inflammations.
Calenmax marigold extract has been produced from the leaves of Finnish Marigold flowers.
Marigold flower extract is recommended to be used in different digestive tract irritations as it calms the stomach and intestines and protects against different stomach problems and abdominal and intestinal wounds.
Marigold flower extract has also antibacterial properties as it prevents bacterial growth.
